Returns & Care Info

 Returns

With proper use and care of your cheer bow, it should last you throughout the season. Due to the individual specifications of each customer, every bow is custom fabricated to meet their needs. For this very reason, we do not issue refunds. If a product is defective (does not include attachments or mishandled bows), please email sales@piabows.com within five days of receipt of the product to obtain a return authorization number. No returns will be accepted without a return authorization number.

Ponytail holders and French clips will break eventually even under the best care. We are not responsible for broken attachments (hair ties/clips). If you need a replacement ponytail holder, please contact us and we woulld be glad to send a replacement.

 Care information

Do not use hair spray once the bow is attached, as it will dull the metallic, hologram and sequin fabrics. Do not attempt to iron or wash your cheer bow. Spot clean with a damp cloth if necessary.  Store your cheer bow lying flat in a Rubbermaid/Tupperware type container to prevent crushing your bow’s loops or bending the tails.

 Bow Attachment Tips

The biggest mistake people make in the process of attaching a bow is thinking that they can pull the hair up and use the hair tie attached to the hair bow to hold the hair. The hair tie attached to the cheer bow is to hold the hair bow, not the hair. You must pull up the hair in one hair tie before applying the cheer bow for it to be seen properly by the judges and the crowd.

IMPORTANT: The ponytail should be directly on top of head, not at he crown or in the back of the head. It should be 2 to 3 inches from the hairline (not the bangs). If you cannot clearly see the ponytail from the front, cheerleader looking straight ahead, the ponytail is not high enough.

Attach the cheer bow below the original hair tie. The cheer bow hair tie should be at the base of the pony tail with the original hair tie above that. This will ensure that your cheer bow is secure and will not fall out. Depending on your attachment choice, some cheer bows have hair ties while others have French clips or elastic strips. No matter what attachment you have, tie/wrap/snap the bow below the original hair tie. We have found that this is the best way to keep the hair bow from sliding during the routine.
